The Story
I graduated from UNC Wilmington in Film Production, spent time in Los Angeles doing documentary work, took a detour into national politics, and eventually landed in video games — where I've been ever since.
The through-line in all of it: I care as much about the systems behind the work as the work itself. Whether it's building a versioning pipeline for a presidential campaign or automating deliverables for one of the biggest games on the planet, I'm always thinking about how to make the process faster, cleaner, and more reliable.
Right now I'm an Assistant Video Editor at Epic Games in Cary, NC — managing high-volume Fortnite content, developing AI-integrated workflows, and building the archival systems that keep a massive video library organized after assets go live.
Career
Managing high-volume video versioning for Fortnite — sometimes well over 1,000 assets — with fast turnarounds across multiple platforms and specs. Developed and implemented automated workflows integrating AI tools to streamline production. Built custom plugins that save significant time on repetitive tasks. Lead and mentor team members, setting up sequences and supporting editors on a range of tasks. Architect archival workflows and manage the video library after assets go live, keeping storage lean and organized.
Created cuts for social media and versioned assets across platforms under rapid-response deadlines. Owned full archival responsibilities — ingesting, tagging, and organizing footage through Catdv and Iconik. Pulled selects from raw footage and set up sequences so lead editors could hit the ground running. Created export templates that improved organization and speed of deliverable prep.
Led a team of three editors posting consistent daily content across 4 large YouTube channels remotely. Built organized file management systems and drove continuous channel growth through consistent, quality output. Created video, social, thumbnails, and motion graphics end-to-end.
Produced trailers and social content to drive festival awareness. Revamped the website, attributing to a 13% increase in pageviews. Archived and organized all site assets, creating a workflow for future staff. Coordinated tech support for the afterparty.
Managed, transferred, and backed up all digital data acquired on-set. Interacted with 2nd AC to ensure smooth workflow. Compiled footage and edited pitch reels. Oversaw a team of 5 Production Assistants.
I have a strong eye for quality control — and I mean that in the most technical sense.
I've consistently caught errors — codec mismatches, wrong specs, audio issues, frame-rate problems — that slipped past producers and senior editors before delivery. It's not just about watching carefully; it's a deep technical understanding of Premiere Pro, codec behavior, and what "correct" looks like for every platform and format. I rarely let something out the door that isn't right.
